George Hrab puts out the best almost hour of new content each week via his Geologic Podcast.  As of late, he also tweets roughly 10 jokes a day, too (amidst working on his 6th studio album, Trebuchet).  His tweets are usually quite punny… which means… awesome!
Some of my starred feeds from him:

Owls make great census [...]

More than a year ago, I asked if there was going to be a DVD release of the great Andy Barker, P.I. show.  Well, today I got an email and… yay, it’s up for a November 17th release…

David Cross is on a little fall tour to promote his new book, I Drink For a Reason.  You may know him from Mr Show with Bob & David, or as Tobias Fünke on Arrested Development (i.e.- the best television show of all-time), or his stand-up specials, or a glut of parts in television and [...]

OK, so you may have heard of Patton Oswalt from Pixar’s Ratatouille.  He was the leading… um… rat.  You may also know him from the newly hitting the cinemas flick called Big Fan, and well… tons of other stuff.  He just released a new CD/DVD of his Comedy Central special, My Weakness is Strong.

My brother and I always had these rules as we went to shows… I’m glad we aren’t the only ones…
Reposted from Each Note Secure blog:

1. When wearing another bands t-shirt, try to keep the same genre or influence.
ex. a) David Bowie @ NIN
ex. b) Placebo @ Futureheads
2. The ironic concert t-shirt is the big exception. [...]

David Cross was playing at the Newmark Theatre in Portland, OR, on a day that I already had local Eugene plans (Th, Sep 24 – Raquy and the Cavemen).  Well, David’s show sold out so fast that they added a 2nd show the next night (Fri, Sep 25)… yay!  Needless to say, I already blue [...]

(Note: if the YouTube video above doesn’t work,
let me know and I’ll refresh the link)
So amazingly, A+ horrible that it’s A+ good… poop squat guitarist moves, jumping around flipping guitar over head, death metal vocals, dance breaks, [...]

Mini-review…
It’s been a while since seeing Jerry Seinfeld live.  I was always a big fan of that television show that he was on… you know… um, what was it called?  Oh, yeah… Benson.  I hear he kinda “faded away” after that early-80s stint on Benson [hulu 1 / 2 /3].

The opener was Larry Miller.  [...]

Well, let’s just say… this show was mutha’uckin’ AWESOME!!!
Before the show, there was a spot-on Murray look-a-like in the crowd.  A little bit younger looking, but definitely pretty damn close.  At around 7:45pm, the lights dimmed and what sounded like Jemaine (from FOTC) announced the opener.  Arj Barker, who plays Dave on HBO’s Flight of the [...]

a great web comic

Well, I’ve been a fan of XKCD for a while (it’s waaaay geeky)… but this one (The Rut) popped up on my radar due to being in the recent issue of Adbusters.  Fun stuff, odd sense of humor… RSS feed = added.

To George W Bush,
Comedians everywhere hope you stay in the public eye for years to come… the rest of us 78% who don’t approve of the job you’ve done hope you just go away.

Good riddance, #43.  Don’t let the shoe hit you on the way out…

Here’s hoping #44 is better.  Quite frankly, it’d be hard [...]

There’s no reason to be afraid of New Zealand’s 4th most popular comedy folk duo.  They’re mostly harmless, and they’re back for both a 2nd season on HBO (or eventually on DVD for those non-HBO subscribers like me) and a second album as well.
The Flight of the Conchords… looking… longingly and forlorn…?
As reported in SPIN, [...]
